Former Miss South Africa, Miss World, Rolene Strauss, took to social media this morning to reveal her pregnancy with her third child! The beauty queen, with a baby bump photo in tow, penned a ‘love note’ to South Africa, explaining her decision to stay and raise her kids in the country, unlike many young families who have chosen to emigrate with their kids.
Rolene, who was crowned as Miss South Africa and Miss World in 2014, recently shared some exciting news: Strauss, along with her husband Daniel who have two children together, will be becoming their third to the brood!

As with many younger parents, the tough decision of whether or not to emigrate and raise a family elsewhere or stay in South Africa is a choice that parents grapple with.
Strauss and Daniel have revealed that they choose to stay in sunny South Africa to raise their babies. In her post, she writes:
“Growing a little human 🤰👼🏼 So excited @officialdanielstrauss ❤️ How incredibly fortunate to be parents and raise our children in this beautiful country of ours 🇿🇦”
She continues by explaining their thought process behind whether to emigrate or not:
“D’Niel and I had to sit down and make a decision that multiple families face at some point… are we leaving or are we staying? After prayer, discussions and consideration, we decided to stay and raise our children in South Africa. But we also made a pact 👉🏽 We choose not to complain, and choose to be part of the solution. We love this country and consider ourselves blessed to call it home 🏡 🇿🇦❤️”
We’re happy we’ll still be seeing more of the beauty queen and her bubbling brood!
