South Africa’s Dricus du Plessis has been widely celebrated in recent days, after successfully defending and keeping his title as UFC Middleweight Champion. In his corner is partner Vasti Spiller, who has publicly celebrated du Plessis’ accomplishments along the way.
After retaining his title as UFC Middleweight Champion against Israel Adesanya over the weekend, Dricus du Plessis is celebrated by supporters around the globe, including Springbok champs Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth, who turned up ring-side to support du Plessis in his match against Adesanya on Saturday.

While the support of a nation and its World Cup-winning champions is one thing, having a loving partner in your corner, as Dricus does with his girlfriend, Vasti Spiller, is another. As the adage goes, ‘behind every successful man there is a strong woman’.

Spiller, who travelled with her beau to Perth for the match against Adesanya on Saturday, took to Instagram after the champion claimed his second consecutive UFC Middleweight Champion belt. A year after claiming his first in 2023 against Sean Strickland.
Spiller celebrated her partner of just over one year, writing:
“AND STILL🇿🇦 Thank you Jesus♥️”

In July, Spiller took to social media celebrating one year together with her UFC champ:
“1 jaar van ons♥️ by jou beleef ek Jesus se “nuwe begin” en wat dit beteken om soos Hy lief te hê. die mooi, die lelik, die wêreld en die hemel is by jou en ek wil langs jou lewe en dit alles beleef. ek het jou lief my honger hart.”
“[1 year of us♥️ with you I experience Jesus’ ‘new beginning’ and what it means to love like Him. the beautiful, the ugly, the world and the sky are with you and I want to live next to you and experience it all. I love you my hungry heart,]” wrote the photographer, children’s book author, and boxing coach, in loyal support of her world champ.
