Biles, now 27, held off a tough challenge from Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade to bag her second gold of the Paris Games.
It’s been eight years since she first topped the Olympic all-around podium in Rio, showing just how long she’s ruled the floor.
This win puts Biles in rare company.
She’s only the third woman ever to win multiple Olympic all-around titles, joining Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina (1956 and 1960) and Czechoslovakia’s Vera Caslavska (1964 and 1968), as per The Guardian.
At 27, Simone Biles is also the oldest to claim this title since 1952.
Biles new gold brings her total career medal haul to a remarkable 39 across Olympics and world championships. She’s been untouchable in the all-around since 2013, winning every competition she’s entered.
As Biles adds another chapter to her champion career, she continues to raise the bar in gymnastics.
