Few war cries are as infectious as that of South Africa’s schools. St David’s Marist Inanda, a private boy’s school located in Johannesburg, echoed the sentiment after a video of the school’s war cry went viral online.

The viral video, which has amassed close to 800,000 views on TikTok, shows the pupils of St David’s Marist Inanda chanting their war cry with the rafters packed and a band in tow.
The school’s war cry features a more-than-catchy and expertly executed guitar riff from The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army and a battle cry that pays ode to the school’s colours, black and gold.
The school’s spirited battle-cry conductors do a good job of spurring on their fellow pupils, as the excitement visibly appears to echo throughout the St David’s rafters.
