From a young age, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some of the most incredible places in the world, from London to Mauritius. The travel bug bit me hard, but I haven’t left the country in a while and I still daydream about jetting off to experience different cultures, fashion, food, and, of course – the beach, in all its many forms and fronts.
My travels as a young girl are filled with magical memories with my family, but now I’m ready to embark on my solo adventure era. My bucket list destinations are endless, but here are the places I dream of visiting:
I fell in love with local…
Annual family road trips exploring the Kruger National Park are very close to my heart. Every time I visit the bush, I am reminded of how much I love wild animals. To be able to see them in their natural habitat does something for my soul.
Our annual road trip has taken me through eight South African provinces, each displaying its beauty. Mpumalanga and Limpopo have some of the most breathtaking sights, and God’s Window and Burk’s Potholes should be on your bucket list.
In Africa, I have already traveled to Mozambique and Botswana, but my African bucket list includes Ethiopia, Morocco, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe for Victoria Falls, Tanzania, and Egypt. Make sure you check out 5 of the best things to do in Morocco!

Setting my sights overseas
For my love of fashion
Although I’ve visited Paris before, I was very young and now that I am older, my priorities have changed. As a Fashion Editor, I’m sure you’ll guess where my intentions are, wanting to go to The City of Light.
Of course, I’d love to see the Eiffel Tower again, but it’s the chic fashion in Paris that beckons! Other countries known for their keen sense of fashion on my bucket list include Japan, and I just know I will be sitting front row at New York Fashion Week very soon.
For rest and relaxation
Ah Bali, the place I’ll find spiritual renewal and a chance to relax. I see myself visiting the temples and markets of Bali, marveling over the rich culture.
I am also in my ‘island girl’ era, so my dream of seeing a Maldives sunset and clear water views from my private villa is a manifestation I’ll always keep in my mind.
To eat!
My list of travelling to eat is extensive, but the foodie in me will work through them all, no problem.
I make it a mission to try different dishes everywhere I go and so far, the food I’ve tried locally in the Kruger National Park and Mozambique has left me wanting more.
I’d love to visit India for the flavourful food, Greece (Santorini of course), Lebanon, Uruguay, Korea, Turkey, and Antarctica – I want to travel the Drake Passage, and if I see an Orca on the way, that would be magical.

I am grateful to have traveled to many countries already, but I’m ready to explore the world as a solo traveler. Not only for fashion, food, and relaxation, but also for self-discovery, cultural exploration, making new memories, and who knows, maybe for love too!
As pricey as those air travel tickets are, you’ve only got one life. Do what you dream!
