The UN has been releasing an annual ranking of the world’s happiest countries since the first World Happiness Report was published in 2012. Despite facing pandemics, natural disasters, and wars, the UN and governments worldwide are committed to identifying the factors that contribute to people’s happiness to develop policies that promote well-being.
A new research study, released on World Happiness Day (March 20, 2023), considers six key factors that impact people’s happiness: social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and the absence of corruption.
