If turning heads on the red carpet were an Olympic sport, Zendaya should receive all the medals.
On Thursday night, Dune co-stars Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet pulled out all of the stops for the world premiere of the anticipated sequel to the sci-fi movie, Dune: Part Two.
Timothée’s heartthrob nature gripped London audiences, but it was Zendaya’s archival Mugler look that stole the show.
The star dressed in a silver robot suit from the French fashion house’s fall/winter 1995 ‘Cirque d’hiver‘ 20th-anniversary collection, as per reports by AP.
The metallic body-hugging outfit came complete with sheer plexiglass inserts, built-in gloves, silver heels and a diamond necklace from Bulgari. The original archival look included a matching headpiece, which the star’s stylist, Law Roach, swapped out for a sleeked back hairdo.
As per HELLO!, Mugler’s archival suit of armour was designed over six months in 1995 in collaboration with artist Jean-Jacques Urcun. The look was named ‘Machinenmensch’ or ‘Machine Human’.

Zendaya was joined at the worldwide red carpet premiere by co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Josh Brolin and Rebecca Ferguson, along with new cast members Austin Butler, Florence Pugh and Villeneuve.
Dune: Part 2 picks up where the first movie left off, with Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen unite to avenge the death of his family. Florence Pugh makes her debut as Princess Irulan, the Emperor’s daughter, alongside Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha.
Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, and Christopher Walken will also star in the anticipated sequel.
Dune: Part 2 will hit South African cinemas on 15 March 2024.
