Get ready to strut down the runway! Africa Fashion International (AFI) is bringing Cape Town Fashion Week back. After a two-year pause, Cape Town Fashion Week (CTFW) is returning from 23-25 March 2023 at the CTICC.
The event was last hosted in 2020 and had to transition to an online format, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 edition of CTFW saw a move to Abu Dhabi, in celebration of International Women’s Day. Partnering with Forbes, this Fashion Experience proved to be incredibly successful for African designers who were able to exhibit and market their pieces to international clients during the Forbes 30/50 event.
This year, CTFW is back in Cape Town with a major emphasis on promoting and retailing Africa’s top fashion labels.
AFI continues to create opportunities for customers to encounter fresh designers, as well as strengthen designer visibility and sales though digital platform as well as the House of Nala physical and e- commerce outlets.
AFI provides a unique ecosystem to aggregate fashion, art, music and thought leaders to meet, share information and help drive the industry forward.
Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Founder and Executive Chair of AFI, will be present to provide insight into the 15-year celebration of AFI as well as their vision for the future. Additionally, local designers, along with esteemed creative director and producer Jan Malan, will also be in attendance.
Representatives from Government, namely Trade, Industry and Economic Development, have been invited to attend.
CTFW 2023 will also be an occasion to honour the 15-year anniversary of AFI.
