To reignite your sartorial flair in the workplace, we recommend you keep things super simple at first. Stick to the basics, and then branch out with a pop of colour or some print. There’s no need to buy a whole new wardrobe, just the odd few pieces. Keep things classic and you’ll struggle to go wrong.

The blazer
This is your cue to add a really great blazer to your wardrobe. It really does have the power to transform even the simplest of outfits. There are a number of trousers that works in the office, tapered peg trousers are great, it will rival your favourite loungewear in terms of comfort, but they’re a lot smarter in terms of looks. To gently ease yourself into workwear, opt for wide-leg trousers (pinstripe is back), they are less restricting and comfy too. Leather trousers are a cool and easy alternative to jeans and look 10 times more stylish.

Shirts
A crisp white shirt is always a go-to. If you’re a fan of a loose, oversized look, you can’t go wrong with cropped (not exposing too much) smartly tailored shirt. Whether it’s slightly cropped or a longer length it works great with higher waisted bottoms. A printed blouse comes in very handy for work. Simply add a pair of cigarette trousers for easy 9-5 elegance, and then team with a pair of jeans for a casual weekend look.

Smart casual knitwear.
Sleeveless knits have made a comeback and it’s the new jeans and a top. Pair it with a shirt underneath the knit, jeans, and a heel – and you’re good-to-go. We are also seeing V-neck knitwear, giving us old-school preppy vibes. A cardigan, relaxed jeans, and heeled ankle boots are also a great casual workwear option.
