That’s a wrap on SA Fashion Week’s autumn/winter 2024 showcase! Local talent blew us out of the water this year, so before we close the season, we’re recapping some of the breathtaking looks we saw on the runway:
Michael Ludwig
Michael Ludwig Designs opened the Cruz Collective show on day 1.
This Indelible Individuality AW24 collection showcased a mix of bold solid colours and uniquely crafted prints that filtered through a beautiful collection

The piece that closed the show was a beautiful boob-tube dress with a whimsical silhouette. The craftsmanship, colour and print exuded a feminine touch.
Sober Design House
The brand’s slogan, “tailored and engineered to fit, sculpt and flatter your feminine form” really came to life with this this A/W collection.
Dresses fitted for the runway dazzled with ready-to-wear flair and a hint of drama.

Helon Melon
This collection served all the power on the runway. From the prints to the more muted colour palette, the collection was clean and uncluttered, with Helon Melon’s signature ‘seasonless’, earth-friendly garments.

Munkus
Munkus is an emerging South African fashion brand founded by Thando Ntuli. The name, derived from Thando’s nickname, conveys a sense of home and comfort relatable to any woman.
Founded in 2019, Munkus presents a retro-inspired, intergenerational style that combines ‘80s and ‘90s South African trends with classic silhouettes. This collection showed a soft colour palette, feminine garments and soothing prints with a hint of edge and grunge. We loved it!
