After the death of Black Panther’s 43-year-old star actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020, many fans were left despondent as to how the movie would recover in the sequel, without Chadwick and his role.
Many are now attributing the sequel film’s successful premiere to viewers’ curiosity about how Chadwick’s role would turn out in the film, after his death.
The first movie, Black Panther, released in 2018, brought in just over R4 billion rand in North America on its premiere weekend.
In an interview with Empire magazine, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige says that casting the role for Chadwich again, felt like it was ‘too much too soon.’
Critics are projecting that film sales will continue to grow up until the premiere of the new Avatar: The Way of The Water in December.

We don’t give enough credit to Ruth Carter for supplying such art in the costumes and fashion looks in Wakanda Forever. From the headpieces, jewelry garments, and body suits she amplified the power of vision. #WakandaForeverID #fashion #ruthcarter #WakandaForever #Shuri pic.twitter.com/icZS7sjnhS
