FAT Bastard Chardonnay
This is a South African favourite and our top choice.
It has some fruitiness; it still has some weight behind it. It shows classic ripe, rich butter and tropical fruit on the nose and soft, well-integrated vanilla on the palate. Oh and FAT bastard has just launched a 2l box of this delectable wine for those who just can’t get enough.
And paired with culinary master Zola Nene’s Butter Bean & Mushroom Curry, it’s just superb.
Stellenbosch Vineyards “Taste the Difference” Chardonnay
This unwooded Chardonnay boasts a crisp, citrusy flavour with hints of green apple and melon. Perfect for a summer’s day, pair it with fresh seafood like oysters or a light salad with grilled chicken.

Pair it with something special, like a lobster ravioli or herb-crusted rack of lamb.
Bellingham Homestead Chardonnay 2021
