The perfect cat eye is the Holy Grail of elegant make-up for many women.
Adele is one lady who always manages to get it right. However, the singer probably has a team of professionals to help her look fabulous every day – something very few of us can afford!
Here our Beauty Ed Tracey Kroukamp tells us how to get it right. Adele’s expert cat-eye look will take some practice, but here are some tips to get started.
How to get the cat-eye look
A gel liner or felt tip liner is a lot easier to use than a pencil as you can get a more precise line.
- Start from the inner corner of your eye, heading towards the outer corner. (Your inner line must always be thinner, and grow thicker as you head outwards).
- Use a white pencil to ‘mark’ where your flick should begin, then go over the white.
- If your hand isn’t steady enough, stick tape on the outer corner of your eyes, and then simply draw your flick.
- Once the tape is removed, there are no smudges, and you are left with the perfect fuss-free flick!
