The choice of wanting to increase the size of your breasts is a personal one, and the reason for wanting to do so differs.
I’ve considered getting breast implants in the past, but the costly procedure and long-term commitment is one I’m not ready for, just yet.
So when I happened upon a video from South African TikTok user @raquelinacioo who posted a ‘before and after’ of herself after two years of taking a natural herb that she claims to have helped her up her cup size naturally, I became immediately curious to find out more.

The herb in question is called fenugreek, and belongs to the Fabaceae family. It is grown in various parts of the world and has been cultivated for both culinary and medicinal purposes for thousands of years.
Historically, fenugreek has been used for various health benefits, from increasing lactation in breastfeeding to skin and hair care, and there have been reports of the herb aiding in digestive issues and assisting in blood sugar regulation.
Fenugreek seeds are small, rectangular and yellow-brown, with a slightly bitter, nutty flavour and have often been used in culinary practices, too.
In Raquel’s video, she points out a noticeable difference in the size of her breasts after two years of taking fenugreek.
She explains her method for taking the supplement:
“I started with the supplements – I would just take one every morning with breakfast, and that worked really well. Now, I take the drops and the seeds. I’m just experimenting. There’s no reason why I changed.”
Raquel opts for taking fenugreek drops with her tea, and a teaspoon of seeds before her breakfast in the morning.
She adds that fenugreek consumption can cause your body odour and, in some cases, your urine to smell differently – the change in body odour is often described as a sweet or maple syrup-like scent
The compound responsible for this odour is sotolone, which is found in fenugreek seeds as well as other plants such as curry leaves and roasted coffee beans. The degree to which fenugreek affects your body odour can vary among individuals. Some people may notice a more pronounced change in body odour, while others may not notice it as much or at all.
Does fenugreek actually make your boobs grow?
There is currently no scientific evidence proving the use of fenugreek for breast growth as there is such limited research on the topic, and it is not a commonly recommended or established medical practice for breast enhancement – so there’s no sufficient clinical evidence to support its effectiveness.
However, anecdotal evidence and traditional remedies may point towards its benefits.
The idea that fenugreek may increase breast size is based on the presence of phytoestrogens in fenugreek seeds. Phytoestrogens are plant compounds that are structurally similar to the hormone estrogen. It is believed that these compounds can bind to estrogen receptors in the body, potentially influencing breast tissue development.
Similarly, some proponents of fenugreek suggest that the phytoestrogens can also stimulate the mammary glands in the breasts. This stimulation could potentially lead to an increase in breast size, similar to what occurs during puberty or pregnancy when natural estrogen levels are higher.
It’s also suggested that fenugreek may cause water retention in breast tissues, which could temporarily increase breast volume.
Whether fenugreek is a definite answer for a safe, natural method to increasing breast size is still unconfirmed.
If you are considering fenugreek or any other herbal remedy for breast enhancement, it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare provider who can provide guidance and discuss available options based on your individual circumstances. They can offer advice on safe and effective approaches to address your concerns.
