It’s almost that time again to bring awareness and knowledge to the important issue of breast cancer. Avon Justine has announced that it will once again host the popular iThemba Walkathon, now successfully in its 14th year in partnership with the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), Wings of Hope and Look Good…Feel Better.
Join us at woman&home as we help raise awareness about cancer through taking a stand and doing it a step at a time on the 20th of October 2019, at Marks Park in Johannesburg.
Registrations are now open, so get your friends and family to join you at this amazing event where you will be walking for a good course. Participants can pre-register on ithembawalkathon.co.za or manually at a participating Sportsman’s Warehouse before the 10th of October.
Make sure you register early and don’t miss out on the epic experience as participants will be limited to only 26 000 this year! The first 19 000 entrants will receive a beautiful event t-shirt, and a customary Avon Justine goodie bag. The first 10 000 participants to register will qualify to win free products such as smart watches and other cool items.
Although iThemba Walkathon may be an event that is fun, enjoyable and an overall blastful experience, it is crucial to all women of any shape, size and shade as they help equip women with sufficient knowledge proactively and also empower them to select screening options that are suitable for them.
