Anyone who has a period knows that there’s a lot more to that time of the month than a few sanitary products.
And, more often than not, the last thing we want to do is travel around searching for all the various things we inevitably know we need. Menstrual care is self-care after all, and creating our own care kits for Aunt Flow’s visit is one of the most underrated acts of self-love.
Other countries seem to have gotten it right when it comes to one-stop-shops for all things menstrual, and now South Africa is catching up at long last.
Meet Aurora Wellbeing, SA’s first-ever wellness store for menstrual cycle care!

The launch of Aurora Wellbeing ushers in an exciting new era for women’s wellness and health in South Africa.
Aurora is both an e-commerce wellness store and platform fully focused on everything we need to support our menstural cycles. At the same time, it’s also the answer to many of our unheard wishes as women.
Whether it be period products, something to satisfy your cravings, supplements for hormone balancing, CBD for cramps, skincare and more. Categories on the platform range from menstrual care, to self-care and of course, sexual wellness. Think of it as your wellness home.

Tell me more!
In addition to stocking some of South Africa’s favourite brands like Lelive, Soaring Foods, Wazoogles, The Harvest Table, Goodleaf and Skin Creamery, the platform also offers a variety of resources and guides to help women understand and manage their menstrual health and hormones.
Founded by Aurora Marcopoulos, with the goal of providing women with a one-stop shop for all their menstrual cycle needs, Aurora Wellbeing is on a mission to empower women to take ownership of their health and well-being.

More about the woman behind the idea
Founder, Aurora, has a background in human rights, co-founding an NPO that tackles period poverty, The CORA Project, in 2020. She started The CORA Project based on the premise that everyone should have access to quality menstrual products and education, saying “menstrual health is a human right”.
All the products stocked on Aurora Wellbeing are carefully curated to make sure they are good to the earth and kind to your body, Aurora says “because what you put in and on your body matters”.
Aurora Wellbeing is launching on 1st March 2023 at www.aurorawellbeing.co.za, but you can keep up with them on Istagram @aurora_wellbeing, or email [email protected] for more information.
