Following a series of recalls affecting various peanut butter brands, Clover has now added its name to the list.
TimesLIVE reports that the company recalled 10 776 units of GoNuts Peanut Butter after tests found higher-than-acceptable levels of aflatoxin, which can cause nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
This follows similar recalls by other brands. Last month, Pick n Pay recalled its 1kg No Name, Dischem withdrew its 400g and 800g Lifestyle brand, and other brands like Wazoogles and Eat Naked were also affected. Woolworths also recalled its peanut butter dairy ice cream.
Consumers with Clover Go Nuts 400g peanut butter with best-before dates of 12 and 18 June 2025, as well as 19 July 2025, are urged to stop using the product and return it to where they bought it for a full refund.
