The cast of Bridgerton is coming to SA

Dearest gentle readers,

Prepare yourselves for some news that is sure to set the Ton abuzz with murmurings…

London’s most fashionable set (the Bridgerton Cast) is going international; and one stop on their illustrious world tour is our very own Johannesburg, South Africa. The official Bridgeton Instagram page  surreptitiously announced this news a few days ago:

While whispers of the precise date remain frustratingly elusive, the very notion of the Bridgerton cast gracing our shores has set tongues wagging amongst the members of the Ton (a.k.a TikTok). Take a look at some of the reactions:

Imagine, dear readers, the spectacle! Colin in person, perhaps even uttering a bon mot or two? And Penelope Featherington, who will undoubtedly look radiant in her new, regal style.

However, while we eagerly await more news and the imminent arrival of our new favourite couple, we can rest assured that the next season is going to be spectacular. This author has had the incredible honour of speaking with Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton), and whilst I must remain tight-lipped about a few finer, juicer details, I can assure you that you’re in for a season unlike any other.

The next season is set to be the most book-accurate, spicey, and full of longing. It’s also going to be wholesome, beautifully styled with whimsical music, and drama, drama, drama. Oh, and you can expect a few of those fan theories we discussed a while ago, to be true. “Frighteningly accurate” according to our leading stars.

For now, we can rewatch seasons 1 and 2, and Queen Charlotte to get our Bridgerton fix until Part 1 of season 3 drops in mid-May… and hope we can catch a glimpse of the shimmering cast when they set foot on our shores.
