Siya Kolisi’s wife, Rachel, and their kids are back in South Africa after their first school year in Paris and a “wild 11 months,” says the Siya Kolisi Foundation co-founder.
The Springbok ‘first lady’ recently took to social media to reveal that the family have returned to home grounds in South Africa. The family’s trip back home comes after Nicholas, 9, and Keziah, 6, finished their first school year in Paris.
“First year of school in Paris, DONE,” wrote Rachel, via a post on Instagram.
“Very possibly the wildest 11 months of our lives,” she added.

The Kolisi family relocated from South Africa to Paris in August 2023. A period in which Rachel navigated solo as Siya Kolisi prepared for South Africa’s victorious World Cup win in Paris.
“My heart is super heavy, moving is very very hard. I’m throwing all my faith in Jesus in this season,” the WAG wrote, addressing the big move in 2023.
Now, Rachel and the kids are back in South Africa for eight weeks, as per an Instagram story shared by Kolisi.
“I woke the kids up for school, to the 🇿🇦 national anthem this morning,” wrote Rachel. “More on the first leg of this journey later. For now we are madly excited to get HOME,” she said.
The stint back in SA follows an “unintentional but much needed break from social media,” as the WAG described in an Instagram post in June.

“I took a very unintentional but MUCH needed break from social media. And did a whole lot of praying. Feels kind of awkward doing a posts again actually,” she wrote.
“I have some amazing things coming up that I’m excited to share with you all,” added Kolisi, possibly eluding to the family’s eight week trip back to South Africa.
“But mostly here to encourage you. If you haven’t taken a break from SM lately – I HIGHLY recommend it. The chaos around us will continue, peace has almost become a privilege, prioritise it,” says Rachel.
