WhatsApp users have reported some technical errors on the app since this morning, Tuesday 25 October 2022. All people experienced was just one tick showing, which in essence means an undelivered message. Currently, there are reports of Whatsapp being down in the UK, Europe, and India as well.
Users are flocking to Twitter to express their frustrations as many rely on the ‘App’ not only for communication with friends but also for work responsibilities. Twitter has also seen an influx of users heading there for more information and answers to what’s going on.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages, and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a spokesperson from Meta, said, the parent company.
Hopefully, they will have the issue sorted out sooner than later so that everyone can just revert back to normal programming. Some however, are enjoying the break from socials in the age of attention.
This gives flashbacks of the great social media blackout that happened last year which left us disconnected from all social media platforms, but as South Africans, we’ve dealt with enough loadshedding experiences to freak out a little less than the rest of the globe.
