Our fiercely private cover star Jennifer Garner opens up to us about Ben, her family and her outlook on life in the July issue of woman&home.
The Neutrogena spokeswoman, who looks like she’s in her 30s, swears by a strict sunscreen regime. She covers herself and her three kids in it every day.
Halle Berry is her hero
Halle led the charge to bring into law anti-paparazzi legislation in California to curtail harassment by photographers towards celebrities’ children. Jennifer testified at the court proceedings about her experience of a dangerous stalker threatening her and waiting outside her child’s preschool.
She’s not on social media
“It’s not that I don’t have anything to say, but I’m not going to talk about my kids, or my marriage, and have no interest in feeling guilty about not answering more things than I already do.”
She’s all about balance
“Ben and I try to find a balance. We try to work at different times, because when we don’t it’s tricky. Fortunately, my jobs aren’t as intense as his, so I can drop the kids off at school and get home before their bedtime,” says Jennifer who’s lucky to have a strong support network in the kids’ grandparents and godparents.
She’s a stay-at-home mum
“We’re actors – we’re unemployed a lot of the time! Our children see us a lot. Ben was home for a year, and I’ve been home most of their lives, so they’re used to things like freshly-baked cookies when they walk in the door.”
