On Sunday 21 January, Springbok champ Siya Kolisi took to social media to share a special message for his wife, Rachel, on her 34th birthday.
Rachel, who is co-founder & CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, as well as a student, mom, wife, speaker and director, celebrated her 34th birthday on Sunday, shortly after returning home to Paris after a brief stint in Cape Town for work at The Kolisi Foundation –an organisation started by the Kolisi couple, seeking to support people living in under-resourced communities in South Africa.
Many familiar South African faces took to social media to wish the Springbok’s ‘first lady’ a happy birthday – including her fellow WAGS. One birthday wish that tugged on our heartstrings, though, was from Rachel’s husband and Springbok champ, Siya Kolisi.
Taking to Instagram to share a carousel of images of Rachel and the family, Siya jokingly cuts ten years off the birthday girl’s age, writing:
“Happy 24th birth my love ❤️ thank you for all you are and all you do for us”
The images shared in Kolisi’s tribute post to his wife includes snaps from the family’s recent ski trip to the Alps, images from their stint in the US after the Springboks claimed victory at the Rugby World Cup, and a rather dashing image of the two gearing up to catch a surf.
