Ingredients
- Half a 500g pack ciabatta bread mix (1 pack makes 2 pizzas)
- 250g tomato purée
- 125g mozzarella (approx 1 large ball), sliced or pulled into chunks
- Flour, for sprinkling
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- 8 asparagus spears
- Handful black olives, pitted
- 50g pecorino cheese, shaved
Instructions
- Turn on the oven and allow it to heat up to 250°C, if you are using the fan you can set it at 230°C, or set a gas oven to nine. The packet instructions will direct you on how to prepare the bread mix. Once you have combined the ingredients, you can knead for around five minutes on a surface coated in flour. Once smooth, you can allow it to rise once placed in a covered, oiled bowl and moved some place warm. Once 30 minutes has passed, you can continue to knead for a couple of minutes to get the air out.
- You can now roll out your base. It should be rolled into a circular shape that is around half a centimetre thick (on a floured baking sheet). Add the tomato puree evenly over the surface before sprinkling the mozzarella on top.
- Add your olives and asparagus evenly, before sprinkling on the olive oil and pepper. The pizza should be placed on the top shelf and left to cook for 10-12 minutes. Once the base is golden and the cheese has melted, you can take the pizza out and add your pecorino, with a little more olive oil, and dish up.
