1. Amani Spa at The Houghton Hotel
Amani is a group of spas in wonderful locations across the country, and the Amani Spa at The Houghton Hotel is the group’s flagship wellness facility. Settled in the midst of Joburg’s urban jungle, it’s an oasis of peace and quiet. Amani Spa boasts numerous state-of-the-art facilities, including the Grand Rasul treatment, and stunning indoor and outdoor pools. We love the Rose Salt Crystal Ritual, a massage that uses coconut oil and Himalayan rose salt to rejuvenate the skin and boost the body’s immunity.
2. Life Day Spa at the Waterfront
Conveniently located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, Life Day Spa will be a treat for out-of-province travellers and Capetonians alike. A trip to this spa is one steeped in pure luxury, and you won’t want to leave! The facials are a real spoil, as you can choose from a wide range of premium local and international skincare brands like Optiphi, La Prairie and Nimue. We recommend the 30-minute Floatation Therapy. One session in the Life Day floatation pool equates to four hours of undisturbed sleep! The water is heated to body temperature and has a high salt content, allowing you to become weightless, relieving skeletal tension and promoting mental relaxation.
