2023 seems to be the year that celebs are growing tired of the ye’ old Hollywood standards of beauty that require women to be forever young and frankly we love to see it!
Andie MacDowell is the latest celebrity to embrace her age and go grey.
The 64-year-old actress said that she accidentally embraced the grey hair during the pandemic. She saw how well it suited her and she has no desire to turn back now.
“I think that it’s a power move, and that’s what I kept telling my managers. It’s exactly what I need to be doing right here.”

In a candid conversation with Katie Couric, she said:
“I don’t care. I want to be old. I’m tired of trying to be young. I don’t want to be young. I’ve been young. And to be an older person trying to be young, what an effort,” she said. “I just can’t keep up the charade! I can’t!”
To top it all off, MacDowell was honoured at the annual Hollywood Beauty Awards and received the Timeless Beauty Award – how fitting!
When talking about her new look, MacDowell said, “It empowered me more. I felt more powerful and I felt more genuine and I felt more myself.”
We are seeing more and more A-listers embracing their age and their natural beauty on the red carpet these days. We even have more natural bodies and more mature women gracing the cover of magazines these days and honestly, it’s about time.
