Dry, winter-beaten locks got you down? Not this year. Treat your tresses with this DIY coconut oil and honey hair mask to rehydrate, condition and keep your hair looking fabulous.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Coconut oil 1 tbsp
- Raw honey 1 tbsp
- Saucepan
- Towel
- Shower cap
WHAT TO DO:
STEP 1
Scoop the coconut oil and honey into a saucepan and heat on the stove over a low heat until melted, stirring gently to combine. Remove from the heat and leave until the mixture is cool enough to touch, but not so cool that the coconut oil hardens.
STEP 2
Wet your hair and part it into two sections. Apply the mask generously from top to bottom, paying the most attention to the ends.
STEP 3
Put hair in a low bun before covering with a shower cap. This will help the mask deeply penetrate your strands. Let it soak in for 20–25 minutes.
STEP 4
When time’s up, hop in the shower and shampoo and condition your hair as normal, making sure to massage out any remaining oily residue. Give your hair this sweet treat once a week for best results.
TIP: Cover your shoulders with a towel so the mixture doesn’t get on to your clothing and leave oil marks.
