Former Miss South Africa, Dr. Tamaryn Green Nxumalo, will make her appearance as the first guest judge on Miss South Africa’s reality show, Crown Chasers, on SABC3 on Sunday 9 July at 18:00.
Crowned Miss South Africa in 2018, Tamaryn went on to represent SA in Miss Universe later that year and secured her spot as the first runner-up in the international pageant. This isn’t Dr. Green’s first rodeo as a judge. Tamaryn first joined Miss South Africa’s panel in 2021’s finale.
Crown Chasers posted the following quote from Dr. Green on Instagram, lauding Tamaryn as the first guest judge to grace Miss South Africa’s 2023 panel in the upcoming first episode of the show:

“Crown Chasers is a true reflection of what pageant life is like. It demonstrates how integrated everything is and how unglamorous yet fabulous it all is! Audiences will be able to build a real connection with this year’s impressive finalists and truly understand their passion for making a change. “
Quoted by an article published by The South African, Green-Nxumalo shares what she’s looking for in the Miss South Africa 2023 winner:
“I want a passionate go-getter with enough foresight to understand what it takes to represent South Africa fully! My only advice to them was to relax. Nerves can be your enemy if you don’t know how to reel them in when you need to.”
