Canal Walk Theatre
The Canal Walk Theatre presents The Little Mermaid from June 15 to July 7. Immerse yourself in the captivating story of the Little Mermaid and her underwater world. The production is brought to life by Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer, with Zoe Gray in the leading role. The production features elaborate costumes, sing-alongs, digital screens for easy viewing from all angles and educational content on protecting the oceans, Snacks like popcorn and slushies will be available. The Ocean Light Festival
On Saturday, 29 June, the Ocean Light Festival offers a magical evening with entertainment for the whole family. The Cape Town Carnival Parade, will kick off the show with performances by Pilani Dubu, Mmino Melodies. The inaugural switching on of the lights of the Ocean Life Installation will take place at Alfred Square. And the best part? Entry to The Ocean Light Festival is free for the whole family
Gauteng
The creative studio
Clearwater Mall offers kids and families the opportunity to get their hands dirty and their creative juices flowing with five daily workshops from 28 June – 7 July at the Rochester Court (Upper level). Tickets are between R40 – R50 and you can book your seat on Webtickets.
Joburg Zoo
The Joburg Zoo offers an educational week of activities for kids between the ages of 7-13. From 24 June until 28 June 2024, get up close and personal with creatures of the wild. Attendees will be a part of a unique experience to learn about various animals and be educated on how to feed animals correctly, with animal-themed crafts and games. Discover the world of wildlife conservation, with new themes and activities every day.
Kwa-Zulu Natal
KZN Museum Winter Holiday Programme
From 17 – 20 June the KZN Museum in Pietermaritzburg offers arts and crafts activities for kids between the ages of 5 and 13. All the activities will be linked to the museum’s exhibitions, making for an interactive experience of the museum. Free VR (virtual reality) headsets will be on offer with each day’s activity.
