Perfect for hanging planters or high-up shelves. These elongated vine varieties come in all shapes, and sizes, add texture and drama to just about any part of your home.
Here are a few vines to consider:
Grape Ivy (Ellen Danica)
These low-maintenance vines are the perfect choice for busy plant parents. With their glossy vine leaves they grow with or without a lot of light. Keep the soil moist but not too drenched during the plant’s summer growing season.
Philodendron
Affordable and easy to care for, they’re a great way to add colour and interest to a wall of vines. The reason philodendrons are good indoor plants is that they adapt to various lighting and water conditions and thrive indoors very well. Just water consistently and provide brightness to a little bit of indirect light then you’re good to go.
Wax Plant
Also known as the Hoya Carnosa this low-maintenance plant is perfect for indoors because, even if you forget to water them once in a while, it is no issue as their thick, waxy leaves act as water reserves.
Bright indirect light is ideal and allows the soil to dry out between watering. Too wet or too dry soil can cause the leaves to drop.
Dragon’s tail potho
The dragon tails pothos have relatively easy maintenance needs. This flexible houseplant can thrive in low light, but it will also survive a few hours of strong direct sunshine.
They are superb as houseplants because when grown in the garden they can have the potential to become invasive. They can also become one super long vine, but you can pinch off longer stems.
String of hearts-Ceropegia woodii
The string of hearts is a trailing house plant with heart-shaped grey leaves with some pinkish undersides. Their leaves make them an attractive choice for aesthetically pleasing houseplants.
They need the most watering around the spring and summer seasons. It’s ideal for growing on a shelf or hanging pot, so its leaves can trail over the edges.
