While having a perfectly curated morning routine is all the rage, I’ve never managed to be that woman. Personally, it’s all about the nighttime routine. It’s a hot shower first, sometimes a bath if it has been a particularly difficult day, followed by some skincare love. I hydrate my whole body with a solid body oil bar and massage my face with a rose quartz vibrating roller, paired with a gorgeous serum. Then I brush my hair and slide into bed with a book or a crossword. And that’s when my favourite part comes in: a fresh cup of my favourite nighttime brew, Forty Winks tea from Woolworths.
I have used Forty Winks as my nighttime tea at the end of just about every day for the last few years. I love slowly sipping on it as the bed gets warmer and I sink under the duvet a little deeper. It truly helps my eyelids get a little heavier and my sleep – well, I sleep like a baby. This is all thanks to the dreamy, naturally caffeine-free, blend with a base of rooibos and dried chamomile flowers, a pinch of lavender and a hint of vanilla.
The Ingredients
Due to its calming effects, chamomile has long been used as a nighttime tea. Chamomile is also commonly used to ease stress and treat insomnia, tension and worry. Lavender has a similar history, known to relax, destress, ease muscle tension and serve as a light antidepressant both used as a tea and in aromatherapy. And of course our local favourite, rooibos holds the crown as a soothing tea to ease almost all ailments! It is a careful combination of these hero ingredients that makes Woolworths’s Forty Winks tea such a comforting and calming nighttime drink to soothe one to sleep no matter how chaotic the day.
Having a morning routine is great, but sleep is an integral part of mental and physical health. A good night’s sleep means a sharper mind, an energised body and happy soul. With Forty Winks tea at my bedside I fall asleep faster with a sounder mind. How glad I am to have found a nighttime tea to help me achieve what’s most important to me.
