Daniel Radcliffe, star of Harry Potter, has just landed his biggest role yet –becoming a dad! Radcliffe and his girlfriend of 10 years, Erin Darke, have confirmed that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple first joined forces after they had both appeared in the 2013 film, Kill Your Darlings and have been together for a decade since.
Rumours of Erin’s pregnancy began when she was spotted sporting a baby bump, out and about in New York.

Radcliffe reached international stardom at the age of 12 for his role as Harry Potter, and has expressed that he doesn’t want the same life for his child, but would still love to share the world of films with them.
Chatting to Newsweek last year, he emphasised that he doesn’t want fame for his future child, but he would still love to expose them to film sets. He also mentions that a dream would be for his future kid to visit a film set, and be inspired to join the art department or another role in the crew.
As an actor who has grown up in the spotlight, it adds up as to why Radcliffe would want to shelter his kids from the toll that fame can take on a young soul.
Now, Radcliffe is all grown up…and by the looks of it, leads a very happy life with Erin. In an interview with People, he says:
“I’ve got a really nice life. I’ve been with my girlfriend for a decade, pretty much. We’re really happy.”
