Heritage Day comes around once a year on 24 September as a reminder to South Africans to celebrate the melting pot of cultures and heritages that were once the same pillars that segregated us.
Heritage Day invites us to taste the food of different cultures, to be inspired by traditional clothing and to listen to the different stories that have weaved the fabric of South Africa’s rainbow nation status.
In honour of today, we’ve put together a few ways to celebrate Heritage Day – from South Africans in different spheres to know and draw inspiration from, to activities to explore our country.
