Our most used products often seem to finish super fast. Here’s some tips on how to get the most bang for your buck.
1. Shampoo
Extend the life of your shampoo by adding a small amount of water to it for one or two final washes. If your favourite perfume won’t spray any more, but you can still see some liquid in the bottle, mix the last few precious drops with a little bit of unscented body lotion for delicious-smelling skin.
2. Products
Use up every last drop of any products that are running low, such as your body wash and lotion, facial wash and shampoo. Store the container upside down to force the contents towards the opening. Or use a pair of sharp scissors to cut the tube or bottle in half and scoop the remaining product into a small Tupperware container.
3. Nail polish
Nail polish tends to get thicker when it’s on its last legs, so thin it out by adding a bit of nail polish thinner (or remover) to the bottle. Instead of shaking it, which will cause air bubbles to form, roll it between your palms.
