With stellar songs and showmanship, Lady Gaga made a splash at the 2024 Olympics with her performance.
The outfit features a sea of pink feathered accessories, like fans and pom poms, and this creation is from none other than a local business in the Karoo.
Cape Karoo International (CKI), which has provided feathers for various big fashion houses, was ecstatic by the performance inclusion. This inclusion is a stellar way to put South Africa on the map for textile production, which includes the success and worldwide recognition of this ostrich farm.

Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen, has commented on this honour:
“I received an exciting letter from the managing director of Cape Karoo International informing me that the pink ostrich plumes and black ostrich feather outfit used during Lady Gaga’s Olympic Games performance were sourced from South Africa’s ostrich farms and are proudly South African.”
