Martha Stewart, now 81 years old, has become the oldest model to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit edition, and she looks absolutely stunning!

Other models including Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader were all considered for the cover of the annual swimsuit edition but Martha triumphed, rocking several fabulous swimsuits & ensembles for her cover shoot in the Dominican Republic.
Martha told Sports Illustrated that her intention behind taking on the shoot was to inspire other women to be fearless and try new things. She says:
“Trying new things is very good. Being fearless is very good. Don’t be afraid of anything.”
“I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic and that I better look really good.”
Behind the lens was Colombian photographer Ruven Afandador, who has worked with Martha since the early days of Martha Stewart Living, the icon’s influential lifestyle magazine.

In an Instagram post sharing images from her fabulously revealing cover shoot, Martha says:
“My motto has always been: ‘when you’re through changing, you’re through’, so I thought, why not be up for this opportunity of a lifetime?”
“I hope this cover inspires you to challenge yourself to try new things, no matter what stage of life you are in. Changing, evolving, and being fearless – those are all very good things, indeed.”
