Mia Le Roux has been crowned as Miss South Africa 2024, following a glamorous evening celebrating the 66th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant.

The 28-year-old marketing manager, model and part-time BCom marketing student hails from Rosebank in Cape Town, but was born in Sasolburg, Free State and raised in Oudtshoorn.
Le Roux was diagnosed with “profound hearing loss” when she was a year old and after her community rallied behind her for support, it inspired her to “make a positive impact and break barriers”.

“I believe I deserve to win the title as I embody resilience, strength and the ubuntu spirit within South Africa. As a deaf woman with a cochlear implant, I represent a community that often goes unheard,” said Le Roux, in her application for the pageant.
“I am here to prove that, despite being differently-abled, it has not affected me. My journey is a testament to the power of dreams and determination we all possess,” she added.

Le Roux is no stranger to the world of beauty pageants. The Miss South Africa 2024 queen won titles such as Miss Struisie, Miss Garden Route, and Ultimate Wildcat. She also made it to the Top 5 in Miss Deaf South Africa. as per Smile FM
Mia Le Roux was joined by her contenders in the pageant’s Top 3 – runner-up to crown, Nompumelelo Maduna,and Onalenna Constantin claiming third place.
