Oprah’s coming to town!
On 21 July, Oprah will make her appearance at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg, for a conference hosted by the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. (OWLAG).
The conference, called ‘What Happened to You: Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Learning, Teaching and Psychological Functioning’ will be a day-long event and will feature renowned leaders in education, according to an article published by BusinessTech.
The conference will be split into sections led by trauma experts, who will unpack and share research on the effect of trauma that has gone unaddressed, as well as provide information about how to create informed responses to trauma.
