The Logan family is a powerful family that owns and controls the biggest media and entertainment empire. Logan Roy played by the brilliant Brian Cox is the patriarch and his 4 children compete in a pick-me contest in who daddy’s favourite child is and evidently will inherit his throne. Ginny & Georgia
Single mother, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) and her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) have moved around from city to city for all of Ginny’s life. When Georgia finally settles down in x, Ginny starts to uncover why her mother kept running for all those years and the ugly truth starts to rear its head and implicates them in a few crimes. The Patient
Alan Strauss played by Steve Carell steers away from his comedic charm in this psychological thriller. Alan is a well-to-do psychotherapist held hostage by one of his patients who is a self-actualized serial killer. His patient, Sam Fortner (Domhnall Gleeson) keeps his therapist close to help him curb his urge to kill, but things go awry and Alan ends up fighting for his life. Watch The Patient on Showmax.

Workin’ Moms
A light-hearted tale of the modern-day mother, Workin’ Moms addresses the issues that come with maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Canadian Catherine Reitman, plays Kate Foster, a public relations (PR) executive and her longtime bestie, Anne Carlson (Dani Kind) come together to offer each other a comforting sanity in-between the chaos of toddler tantrums and a sense of self. Sex/Life
Billie Connelly is a suburban wife, that leads a comfortable white-picket-fence life. She has a husband that takes care of their family, but Billie finds herself missing something that her husband is unable to afford her: passion. She finds herself wrapped in a fantasy that soon leads her to a crossroads where she would have to decide whether she accepts her life for what it is or whether she embarks on a reckless road without a presumed final destination. Unseen
Unseen has been making waves internationally since its release in March 2023. Zenzi played by Gail Mabalane is a domestic worker who shows up at the prison on the day that her husband, Maxwell Mwale (Vuyo Dabula) is meant to be released. When she arrives, it turns out he is not there and his disappearance leads her down a dark road of deceit and betrayal and even murder on her quest to find answers. Watch Unseen on Netflix.
Reyka
Reyka, played by the incredibly talented Kim Engelbrecht, is a detective working on cases that include the disappearance of young girls. This slow-burning crime thriller tackles unnerving issues of kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome in a sensitive, tactful manner, as Reyka is the survivor of a kidnapping herself and battles with her own demons while fighting the bad guys in her daily occupation and raising her daughter as a single mother. Engelbrecht was nominated for an Emmy for her stellar performance in this role. Watch Reyka on Showmax.
Devilsdorp
This eerie four-part true crime docuseries will have you glued to the edge of your seat. Between 2012 and 2016, 11 people were brutally murdered in Krugersdorp in what is now known as the ‘Appointment Murders’. Directed by David Enright and narrated by Jana Marx, this documentary series investigates what lies beneath and how these murders could potentially be connected to high-profile murders that took place in recent years.
