Standard Bank’s Top Women EmpowHER regional conference kicks off in Cape Town on 23 May, before heading off to Gauteng on 25 July and then finally ending off in KwaZulu Natal on 12 September 2024.
Thereafter, the winner will be announced at the Top Women Awards at the Sandton Convention Centre on 4 December 2024.

Standard Bank’s Top Women Regionals
The regional Standard Bank Top Women Conference is travelling around South Africa to find female entrepreneurs from all across the nation.
Standard Bank has recognised that access to markets continues to be the biggest barrier for women entrepreneurs. If given access and the opportunity, these women will be better positioned to become the driving force for economic growth in Africa. In light of Africa Month, the EmpowHER conference could not have come at a more opportune moment.

What to look forward to at Standard Bank’s EmpowerHER Conference
The panel has pre-selected 10 female entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to thought leaders and business experts in the form of a 3-minute elevator pitch. This 3-minute pitch will be followed by a 5-minute interactive Q&A session, where participants will receive insightful feedback on what they can do to grow their businesses.
The top 5 from the 3 regions (Western Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal) will then be entered into Standard Bank’s annual Top Women Awards, which will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 4 December 2024, where one businesswoman will receive the Top Woman title, trophy and R50 000 in cash.
