Caramelised brunette
Nothing says summer like soft brown locks with flashes of blond. This year, though, it seems like caramel blond low lights and money pieces are in. Some stylists are calling this trend ‘candlelit brunette’ – which perfectly encapsulates this look.
It’s perfect for blonds looking for a darker look, and brunettes looking for a slightly lighter feel with minimal bleaching!
Classic bob
The classic bob has made its comeback this year, and we are all for it!
Whether you have pin-straight hair or beachy waves, you’ll always look put together. Not to mention how chic it looks on everyone! For a modern spin on the classic bob, you could throw in bangs.
Bixie cut
If you’re looking for an ultra-modern cut though, then you must consider the bixie cut – the perfect mix of a bob and a pixie cut. This style is very Florence Pugh-coded and will leave you feeling fierce.
And, when the time comes to grow it out, the bixie will become the perfect bob – so you’ll be on trend for longer!
Cowgirl copper
With the popularity of the Yellowstone TV show, it’s no surprise that cowgirl copper is amongst the top summer hair trends this year. If I could, I would channel my inner Beth Dutton and rock the soft red locks with a gorgeous pair of cowboy boots.
This look is a softer version of the bright, harsh reds of seasons past, and works well with most skin tones.
90’s babe blowout
The 90s are making a comeback. And while I can’t be on board for low-rise jeans, I can fully get behind a big 90s blowout.
This all-day look remains versatile, stylish, and chic. It marries well with most face shapes and helps keep your hair looking voluminous.
Blondie vibes
Of course, no summer hair trend list is complete without mention of blond locks. This year, blond isn’t going anywhere but we are seeing an increase in softer blond looks – queue the Rachel Green-inspired looks.
Striking Icey Blond is still trending though – especially for those classic bobs and Bixies cuts.
Au natural
2023 is the year of loving yourself, and that means embracing your hair’s natural texture and state. Whether you have thick curls or fine hair, it’s time to pack away the straighteners and curlers and let your hair shine.
Even better, this trend will do wonders for your hair health, especially if you’re leaving your hot tools in the drawer.
