Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean you can’t transform your summer outfits to be seasonally appropriate in the winter months.
Follow these layering tips for a closet that could work for you all year round.
Add a turtle neck
Turtle necks are great for winter. They offer coverage to the upper half of your body, including your neck, which can be a sensitive spot for many in winter.
Make sure your chosen turtle neck is well-fitted and that the material isn’t too thick, creating bulkiness under your dress. Choose light materials such as cashmere or viscose and choose colours that are in-season like neutral beige, black, brown or off-white.
Pop a preppy blouse or shirt underneath
Blouses and shirts will elevate any look. Opt for silk for extra glamour or simple cotton for an everyday look. Blouses with large collars will give your look a dramatic flair. Or if you’re feeling daring, you can add a sheer shirt or blouse for a hint of risque drama.
Now that we have the top half of the body sorted, it’s time to layer the bottom half.
Hose, hose, and more hose
The best thing about pantihose is that they are so versatile and you can play around with many different types. You can add the standard pair of pantihose for a touch of elegance.
You can also add a pair of chunky, woollen pantihose to your look for added comfort and warmth.
You can also add some lacey pantihose, or these rhinestone-decorated fishnet pantihose from Takealot for a little bit of a sexy, temptress look.
If you’re feeling playful, you can try different coloured pantihose like reds, pinks or purples.
