Still, the idea of the marriage not being followed by a glamourous event simply wouldn’t do, and the two have gotten married again – this time at a fully-fledged celebration furnished with all-white looks, surrounded by love from family and friends.
According to E News, the second round of happily ever afters saw the setting of Affleck’s lavish estate in Georgia, featuring tears, joy and classic magic. The property served as the perfect backdrop for the newlyweds, offering an exaggerated version of a backyard wedding. His Georgia abode is believed to be worth around R153 million – no small feat for home-wedding.
Taking notes from previous high-profile all-white ceremonies like that of Beyoncé, JLo stunted in Ralph Loren with a veil that ventured for miles behind her, while Affleck pinned a sleek white tux with black accents.
Affleck’s longtime pal Matt Damon and his wife Luciana were front and centre of the guest list as well as the pair’s children from their previous relationships. Actress Jennifer Garner (Affleck’s ex and the mother of his children) was invited to the ceremony but reportedly declined her invitation.
The ceremony was officiated by author, former monk and life coach, Jay Shetty who took the baton from their Vegas officiator.
Of JLo’s new marriage but old love, Jenny from the Block has shared: Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient”.
