With a click of a button, the rumours of an alleged feud between Haily Bieber and Selena Gomez have flashed away. The model and actress were photographed together at the second Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles and the photos echo positivity and a bigger picture of women supporting women.

The sweet moment comes after Hailey addressed the long speculation of an alleged feud between the two stars during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
The background story
Model, Hailey Bieber is married to singer, Justin Bieber – who also previously dated Selena Gomez. This is where the alleged feud arose. There was speculation (by fans) that Hailey ‘stole’ Justin from Selena but Mrs. Bieber has confirmed and shut down all rumours. She says: “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody — that’s the end of it”
Fans and media have been relentless in making it out that these two beautiful women had bad blood for years – hence why these pictures had jaws dropping. Maybe now the rumours and pinning women against each other can be laid to rest.

If we take a glance at the timeline of both relationships, Justin and Selena publicly dated (on and off) from 2010 – 2017. Justine and Hailey only started hanging out in 2018 and were married a few months later.
Hailey says: “When him and I ever started, like, hooking up or, like, anything of that sort, he was not ever in a relationship, ever at any point, It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. I would just never do that.”
The hate Hailey received over the years about this situation has been terrible. As we all know, tabloids especially have tendencies to twist the truth and take situations out of context which is what many believe happened to create the Hailey-Selena ‘beef’.
A few days later Gomez responded to Bieber’s remarks in a TikTok live, where she said she did not support hate speech and asked fans to be kind. “It’s not fair, because no one should ever be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen,” Gomez said.
She continued: “If you support Rare,” referencing her beauty line, “I cannot thank you enough, but know that you are also representing what it means and that is words matter. Truly matter. So it’s coming from me, and I just want all of you to know that I hope that you understand that this is much bigger than anything else.”

Hailey is aware of what people say about her online, and that she wishes everyone would just let things go and accept the reality of the situation.
She says: “The perpetuation, comes from the misperception, ‘Oh, you stole him,’ It comes from the fact that they wished he had ended up with someone else and that’s fine. You can wish that all you want but that’s just not the case.”
This is possibly the first time both women have spoken about the alleged rumours and we commend them for showing courage and support for not only each other but for all women. What these pictures and story have taught us is that we have no idea what the next person is going through so always treat people and each other with kindness. Kindness goes a long way.
