October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pink October, and we’re taking this opportunity to spotlight the incredible brands and organisations supporting women’s health. These companies are not only raising awareness but are actively contributing to the fight against breast cancer by running meaningful campaigns and partnering with leading organisations.
Here are a few of our top picks so far:
1. Sleeper
For the ninth year running, Sleeper is stepping up for this important cause. This year, they’re donating 30% of profits from all October sales to support the Ukrainian National Cancer Institute. To make the initiative even more accessible, items from previous collections are available at up to 50% off throughout the month. It’s a fantastic way to contribute to the cause while treating yourself to something special. Sleeper’s aim is simple but powerful: to remind women globally of the importance of self-care and to stand with those fighting this battle.
2. Matus
Matus is donating 10% of profits from sales of its pink products to CANSA in support of their Women’s Health campaign during October and November 2024. It’s a subtle yet significant way to show your support.
3. Trappers Outdoor
Trappers has teamed up with CANSA to make a real impact this month. Throughout October, they’re donating 10% of proceeds from every Rose Quartz or Pink Parade Stanley Quencher sold to CANSA. So, not only do you get a quality product, but you’re also actively helping in the fight against cancer.
4. SICAD SA
SICAD SA is rolling out its Pink Masking Tape to support CANSA this October, with 5% of the selling price per roll going directly to the organisation. It’s a simple yet effective way to raise awareness, and the tape itself is perfect for all those everyday projects.
5. Stern Laser
Stern Laser, the distributor of iS Clinical skincare, is donating all profits from the sale of their Pure Wellness Collection to CANSA between 1 October and 30 November 2024. Skincare is an often-overlooked but crucial part of cancer treatment, and this collection has been successfully used by cancer patients for over a decade to address common skin concerns related to treatment.
6. Plantland Garden Centre x PinkDrive
Plantland Garden Centre is partnering with PinkDrive in a wonderful campaign – for every pot plant sold, a portion of the proceeds goes to PinkDrive. You can pick up your Pink Pot at any branch or online, and it’s an easy way to contribute while adding a splash of greenery to your space! If you’d like to go the extra mile, you can also donate directly to PinkDrive here. PinkDrive’s core mission is to reach those without access to adequate healthcare, focusing on breast, cervical, prostate, and testicular cancer prevention.
