South African actress, Thuso Mbedu, is known for her performance in The Underground Railroad for which Mbedu won an Independent Spirit Award, Gotham Award and Hollywood Critics Association Award.
More recently, her performance in The Woman King, in which she played alongside Viola Davis and won the Outstanding Breakthrough Actress award at the 23rd annual Black Reel Awards.
Mbedu rose to fame after being nominated twice, consecutively, for International Emmy’s for her performance in local teen drama, Is’Thunzi.
At the end of last year, the New York Times listed Mbedu as one of the Top 10 actors of the year.

Thuso Mbedu is a hot commodity right now and congratulations are in order as she has been scooped up to serve as the face of a Christian Dior fragrance, Gris Dior.

The tagline for the campaign is “Dare In Gris Dior”, and when asked what ‘dare’ means for her, Mbedu responds with, “to try without fear, to push beyond your limits.”
