Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth’s website, GOOP, shares tons of helpful tips and tricks, from how to detox to healthy eating and practising mindfulness. One of her go-to recommendations to reboot the system is a quick cleanse, ideally three to five days long. Eating clean (veggies and fruit) and cutting out sugar, wine and carbs will give your brain and gut some much-needed recovery time, plus you’ll shed a kg or two, too. She also recommends a few sessions in an infrared sauna to help with clearing toxins, inflammation and boosting energy. So, sweat it out!

Jennifer Aniston
How does Jennifer maintain such youthful, radiant beauty? The secret might just be detoxing smoothies. Combining fresh, organic vegetables, like beetroot, spinach, garlic, ginger, carrots, celery and kale has amazing benefits to your health, like preventing bloating, easing water retention and cleaning toxins from the blood. A glassful of greens will leave your skin glowing, and your body feeling lean and energised.

Salma Hayak
Salma swears by juicing cleanses. A three day, fresh-pressed juicing diet will refuel your body with all the nutrients, vitamins and enzymes needed to function optimally. Things like coconut water and nut milks are good replacements for dairy liquids. A three to five day juice cleanse works wonders for the metabolism. After cleansing, it’s best to settle back into eating clean, unprocessed foods for lasting results.

Beyoncé
Beyoncé follows the Master Cleanse, also known as the lemon juice cleanse, first formulated in the ‘40s as a fasting diet to detoxify the body. From drinking 6-to-12 glasses of water mixed with lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper for 10 days or longer (depending on physical condition), and flushing the system with internal saltwater baths and laxative tea twice a day, you get a thorough detox. Another added benefit is weight loss, as seen on Beyoncé, but it is important to get back to eating clean, unprocessed foods after the cleanse to get all the macro-nutrients your body needs.
