Popular e-hailing platform, Uber, has launched a new service in Cape Town offering customers the opportunity to book safari trips through their app.
The limited-time offering, called ‘Uber Safari’ is part of the company’s ‘Go Anywhere’ travel product series.
Available until the end of January, Uber Safari will grant Cape Town residents and visitors another means to experience wildlife by game viewing.
The service, operated in partnership with Aquila Private Game Reserve, boasts the Big 5 experience.
Here’s what the experience includes, as per Uber:
- Pickup in Cape Town in an Uber Safari-branded vehicle
- Welcome toast and lunch at Aquila
- Game drive with experienced rangers and guides
- Access to Aquila’s grounds
- Return trip to Cape Town
Safari bookings will contribute towards Aquila’s conservation efforts, supporting the protection of endangered species, states Uber.
Reservations open on October 2, with trips available on Fridays and Saturdays.
The service costs $200 (R3,455.60). Up to four guests can be booked at a time.
