An unforgettable moment for two South Africans unfolded during Adele’s Munich concert this weekend past when the singer brought them onstage. Clement Manyathela, a well-known radio personality from 702 and Cape Talk and his friend Basani were pulled out of a crowd of 80,000, all thanks to their “vibe” and enthusiasm.
Adele’s residency at the Messe München has been the topic of all conversation in recent weeks, and her 22-song setlist has continued to blow fans away. However, the joy of Clement and Basani stole the show on Sunday night.
The pair, who were part of a larger group of South Africans caught the singer’s attention, who then invited them onstage. Clement and his friends were there celebrating his birthday.

As she welcomed them into the spotlight, she exclaimed:
“You are just being such a vibe!”
In true Adele nature, she chatted with the pair, and playfully reminded them to “actually push record” so they could immortalise the moment. She also thanked them for their dedication as fans, acknowledging their long journey from South Africa just to be there.
And of course, they posed for a stunning selfie.
However, what sparked the most joy for Basani and Clement, and South African fans, Adele proclaimed that she:
“Will come to South Africa.”
For Clement and Basani, this memory will last forever, but for South Africans, we’ve all been filled with hope to see the iconic singer soon!
