The news of her untimely death also made it to the IAPL Monitoring Committee on Attacks on Lawyers.
Eunice Masipa, president of the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) says of Zanele: “This cowardly act has robbed Ms Nkosi’s family, colleagues, and the country of a fearless woman of strength, committed to make South Africa a better place for all.”

Once again, a conversation about gender-based violence has been sparked, with many front-running activist initiatives like @KeepTheEnergy and Women for Change advocating for #justiceforZanele.
Despite decades of activism from women’s rights organizations as well as growing awareness and action from Member States, the available evidence shows that progress in stopping such violence has been deeply inadequate. 😕
So sorry for your loss💜#justiceforzanele #sayhername
