I don’t know what excites me more, the warmer days that poke out to play, or the Spring wardrobe refresh…
Alright, I’ll be honest…it’s definitely the clothes. What better way to celebrate a new season than by updating your style? Crafting your Spring wardrobe can be a bit tricky, the weather is still in flux. The sun isn’t beaming down at full capacity just yet, and there’s still a chill in the air now and then.
How are we meant to dress for this unstable weather? It’s all in the layering! Plus, the start of the new season is also synonymous with change, rebirth and renewal. Often that outlook filters down into your wardrobe, so here I am, sharing a few of my favourite Spring wardrobe combos to elevate your style and keep you cosy when you need to be.
Spring ’23 trending fashion must-haves
Pastel perfection
The return of pastel is here. Think soft pinks, baby blues, lavender, and mint green. These delicate shades bring a sense of freshness and lightness to your wardrobe, making them perfect for the season. Incorporate pastels into your outfits with blouses, dresses, and even accessories like handbags and scarves.

Fashion Editor’s pick: A pastel blazer! This is a versatile addition that can be dressed up, over a silky slip dress with heels or down, over a classic white t-shirt and your favourite denim .
Flirting florals
In the words of everyone’s favorite Editor-In-Chief, the devil in Prada herself: “Florals for spring? – Groundbreaking!”
Florals are a springtime classic that returns with a vengeance every year. This season, we’re seeing a mix of oversized and micro florals on dresses, blouses, and even outerwear. Why not embrace the floral trend and bring the beauty of nature into your wardrobe?
Fashion Editors pick: A floral midi or maxi dress – perfect for brunches, garden parties, and sunny strolls.
If it’s not floral you’re after, another textile print for Spring that I am loving is the washed-wear, tie-dye look. These dresses have an essence of femininity to them and you’ll see them everywhere, from mid-Spring heading into Summer.

White tailored dresses
The quiet luxury trend will dominate this season with classic wardrobe pieces in supreme fabrics and impeccable tailoring. The silhouettes are slightly more structured with a feminine and elegant flare.

Statement sleeves
Say goodbye to minimalism this spring as voluminous, statement sleeves take center stage. Puff sleeves, bishop sleeves, and bell sleeves are making a comeback, adding drama and flair to your outfits.
Pair a statement-sleeved blouse with denim for an effortlessly chic look or layered under a strappy dress.
Ensure you can layer something underneath your sleeves as it gets chilly and you can’t wear a jacket over them, you’ll be covering up all the drama!
Fashion Editor’s pick: A blouse with exaggerated sleeves – it’s all about making a stylish statement.
The return of denim
Denim is an all-year-round fashion staple – it never truly goes out of style.
